Palladio’s wood models exhibited in the ground floor rooms at Palace Barbaran da Porto

From november 2007 –summer 2008 ,in the occasion of the 500 years anniversary of Palladio’s
birth, Palace Barbaran da Porto,the only city residence entirely realized by the great architect,will exhibit in the monumental rooms on the ground floor the famous palladian wood models.
From 1973 the models of the palladian factories made in scale 1:33 are a testimony of the
Palladian genius in the most prestigious scientific institutions and exhibitions,meeting
constant positive review and success by the public.
The strength of the models lies in the tridimensional representation of Palladio’s architecture,
which also makes it comprehensible to a broader public.The exhibition ,under the care of the
international centre of Architecure studies and produced by Mauro Zocchetta,
revisits the fundamental aspects of the palladian architecure , and proposes its big themes :
villas, city palaces and contruction’s techniques.
