The Tower of Mestre, today the Civic Tower, dates from the thirteenth century. It has changed numerous times name (Torre di San Lorenzo, Clock Tower, Clock Tower) and the same use (warehouse, private home, coffee shop, store). The watch that still shows the time to passers Square Underwire has been added to the beginning of the seventeenth century, while other measures have changed the look.
Revitalized in recent years, today the Civic Tower of Mestre is open to the public and regularly hosts events of painting, photography, sculpture, literature.
